All the pre planning.
After many hours planning, phoning and pawing over maps, tomorrow we head of north.
Exmouth our destination, then back to
Perth via a mixture of roads.
We will be towing our Avan adventure plus van behind our D240 Defender.
There will be seven vehicles of different makes in our convoy.
The trip.
Our trip to
Exmouth proved to be fairly organised with few issues.
My vehicle has long range tanks fitted so fuel stops reduced considerably.
Perth to
Carnarvon, then back to
Carnarvon. Fuel in
Carnarvon $1.989
The swim with whale
sharks was amazing, we enjoyed the company of four
sharks. One just swam around and around our group giving plenty of viewings.
Our return was marred by rain the further south we travelled. As we went inland to look for wild flowers, Murchison and south did not disappoint. We enjoyed a carpet of flowers, many different colours and shades, almost to
Mullewa.
As weather conditions were not improving, we headed directly for
home after visiting the
Morawa Police museum.
