From/ To Today =
Leonora to Wahigu Rockholes
Km travelled today = ¬600 km
Fuel cost at =
Laverton $1.899
High points = The condition of the road
Low Points = Not getting as far as planned today.
General = Going to bed last night the stars were behind a drawn curtain, allowing us to peep at the stars but not to see the full sky. In the morning the curtains were open and what a sight to behold. Richard asked for a picture of the night sky,
well my camera is not the best but one tomorrow. The road into
Laverton was very good. If the Great Eastern is a five then this road is a two. The
young lady serving fuel gave us a very kind smile as I fill up and headed away. The GCR to Cosmo Newbury is in good condition as is the GCR to
Tjukayirla Roadhouse. We passed the
grader gang who are doing a great job of the roads. I am amazed how green the country is and the vegetation along the way. From Spinafex to small trees, the condition of all is very good, not sure if this is the way it normally is or the early rains have picked the country side up. Only encountered two kangaroos and one camel. Not many dead animals along the way also pleasing. For the stop tonight I have pulled up early at Wahigu Rockholes. A short drive off the road to a wonderful
camp spot. Tomorrow on toward Alice.
