The South Australian Desert Parks, which were closed for the summer months, are due to re-open on 15th March 2015. Desert Parks Bulletin No 492 of 4th March 2015 refers.
Advance Notice has been given that the Dalhousie Main Springs may be closed to swimmers from May 18-29, 2015. This is due to replacement of the main spring steps by the Friends of the
Simpson Desert Reserves and the Department. An alternative access/exit is being investigated.
Please remember to
check road and weather bulletins and local conditions before travelling into the Outback. Speed limits of 40km per hour apply within all Parks.
