For those of you who like to keep a close eye on the weather when travelling the BOM have a new service called
Meteye
It's town/area specific and worth having a look at

its not much different to bom's other site
www.ozforecast.com.au
just enter town name and those adjoining towns in same area
and it give 1/2 hr updates anywhere in aus
if you click on any of the town names and scroll down it will give all data for last 24 hr period for each town
basicly 6of 1 and 1/2 doz of other

Yeah and without hailing Mazcan down, Meteye is completely different to the BOM's other site, and ozforecast is nothing in comparison ( and not even BOM)

No it isn't.
It is a small business out of NSW. it is a registered business called OZ FORECAST owned by a guy called David Brodrick who is a software engineer at CSIRO in Narrabri NSW. He does it as a hobby.
Nuthin to to with BOM.

Need to be aware, though, that it is an "experimental" site and you have to agree to not hold them responsible if the use causes you data loss.
That said, I think it will likely get to be mainstream once they have ironed out any bugs.
Hope so, anyway, as it looks the goods!
