Over the last few days, we have totally revoluntionised the Event Calendar system and we'd like to tell you a bit more about how you can use it.

Basic Features:
1. Events are fully searchable.
2. Events are categorised on the event home page by State - next upcoming event for each state is shown on event home page.
3. Browse from event home page by State - then select a Type of Event
4. Results lists in text run down the page - easy to change date range.
5. Click any event to open a full page for all information
6. You can add photos, reviews, view a map, local weather, plus tools for sharing with twitter & facebook, save page in Favourites, print etc.

Fancy features:
1. RSS feed for "upcoming events"
2. RSS feed for "event alerts" - this triggers and display new events, registration open, registration close and other event date alerts to keep you informed. (ie. this event is on tomorrow).
3. The "event alerts" feed also appears on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ExplorOz)
4. From the basic text list of results - you can instantly click a button for "Calendar Download" - this will add all the details for that event into your iCal compatible calendar (ie. Outlook Calendar on your PC, iPhone etc). You can do this for any individual event.
5. Anyone can add a new Event, Edit an existing Event/Add photos/files, or Make a Review/Discuss an Event. (Comments automatically create Forum posts linked to the event but Reviews are not released to Forum until approved - same as always).
6. Make your own Wall Chart of selected events - which YOU customise by selecting the date range, and type of events that interest you. This comes in pdf format or RTF (which is compatible with Word) - so you can keep it electronic or print it from that program. PERSONAL USE ONLY OF COURSE.

Our event calendar has over 100 upcoming new events Australia-wide - including Auto/Travel Shows, Field Days/Agricultural Shows, Food & Wine Festivals, Rodeos/Outback Festivals, Hobby/Craft shows, Boating/Fishing shows/events, Car Racing (V8 Supercars etc), Family friendly carnivals etc and many other cultural and sporting events.

There's tons of ways you can keep busy and have fun with the Events Calendar. We hope you find this feature useful.

This post will be featured in the newsletter tomorrow too.

Regards,
Michelle

So are Members Trips and Gathering going to be auto linked to the Events Calendar?

Cheers Kev
