I have just spent 6 nights at McNamara Park in Broke, Hunter Valley. (3 night limit, but I stayed 6 nights without any problem) I had a fantastic time. This is a great
campground, with covered picnic tables, flushing
toilets (only one) and
camp fires allowed. It is a very large area with lots of trees for shade. The only disadvantage is you do get a bit of road noise.

Hi Jeni,
Thanks for the heads up re McNamara Park. I was heading down that way back in May but one thing led to another and we did not make it. So I was wondering what it was like. Thanks again for your report.
A little word of advice though, if you bend the rules, don't tell everybody about it. The authorities now have a heads up also, if they google McNamara Park.
Thanks again for the report, most appreciated.
Cheers, Bruce.
