Cameron Corner.

We were headed up that way in July last year, hadn't rained for a couple of weeks, then as we were headed up to Bourke from Newcastle it rained and closed the road from Bourke to Tiboburra. The local cop said he would probably open the road again that afternoon, but to play it safe we by-passed Cameron Corner and went up to Innaminka via Cunnamulla. Just goes to show how 1 rainy day can close some roads.

do you mean via the Kayrunner-white cliffs road onto the Silver city HWY into Tibooburra.

Hello Tone, yep, thats the one, comes out at Cobham.The road was in good nick, and interesting country, just keep an eye out for goats, the v/park at White Cliffs is ok, if you want you can go up to Wannaring then across to Tibooburra
We found the S/S highway to be the roughest road of our journey. Make sure you have a camel steak at the Cameron Corner road-house. Enjoy the trip. Keith
