Finally done it !
After threatening it for 3 years I have put an AXT Turbo kit into the old girl.
Wow that has livened her up.
Mind you it would want to $3400 all up.
$2500 for the kit, $900 for the mechanic. (way out of my league to fit)
Now I do not have to push the Pooootrol all the time, just let the turbo do it's thing.
Cheres

Life's sweet now, Bucky, eh?
Put off fitting a turbo to a 60 series wagon we used to have, because of the cost, and ended up trading it on an 1990 80 series turbowagon. Later on, bought a '97 model Multivalve wagon too, which we reluctantly sold last year.
Motoring life changed overnight, no more crawling up hills or holding up traffic, effortless cruising, and all this with good economy.
Now got a 79 series turbo ute, and a Falcon XR6 turbo, can't live without them.
Enjoy Bucky,
Bob.
