Hi There, If you are looking just for great tuning and turbo fit or adjustment, there is a business in berrima, not quite
sydney but worth the drive. You can test run on the way home. Michael

fatz,
I have been to gemini dsl at carlton and to berrima.
I now live in
Broken Hill and my new car has had a trip to berrima.
Gemini did nothing wrong but berrima were fantastic.
Hope this helps

Thanks for all the replies, I've dropped it off to gemini dsl. I'll let you know how I go. I've spent a fortune on it recently at supposed 4x4 experts and it has not got any better, not just fuel issues but also
suspension, wheels, tyres, winch, bullbar and so on. Every time I get it back I spend a couple of hours fixing up things thst have been left loose or are not fitted correctly.

Westend Diesel were the first I thought of having seen their ad's and reading an article on them in a 4x4 mag recently. Called them this morning and they said "the mechanic is on leave can you call back in the new year". I nearly fell off my high stool !! I had heard they were the best but thought the answer was pretty weak.

Strange, very strange, I know that they have more than 'one' mechanic. I beleive Leon (takes bookings etc) is on leave but that shouldnt stop them from taking work. I will phone Devesh in the morning and check it out both for your info and my peice of mind as I am hoping to get my Toyo 100 series serviced before Xmas :-)))))

Thanks KIwiAngler
Let me know how you go, I also thought it was a strange answer. I have heard they do good work. Gemini dont do much apart from the dsl work. I need someone reliable to do the odd bits and pieces on my 100 as
well.

West End would be 10000% over The other one that threatened this Site with legal action.. someone mentioned them on south coast there.
Also the mechanic that did my injectors and pump down here in Melb gets work from that said place that is bodgey, like their patch on the 2.8's..

Rang Devesh today and he explained that whilst they do have a couple of mechanics on leave currently they still have 3 others there to do the work. They still have some hours left for new jobs but have had to turn down about 4 people who wanted turbos fitted before Xmas!!!.
One guy wanted a full workup done, dyno, turbo fitted, service etc etc he wanted to drop the vehicle off on Friday and pick it up on Monday. Now I dont know about you but I think that's a tall order for anyone at this time of year.
As I said earlier Devesh and the guys have looked after my Toyo for about 12 months now and have done an excellent job. They are Bosch agent in Aussie and have gear that no-one else in Aussie has for diesel maintenance.
My suggestion give Devesh a ring tell him you are off exploreoz
forum site and see how you go

Hey guys, i used to work for devesh, i went past yesterday, and he told the boys to take a holiday while its a bit quiet, as they are far too busy during the year, and its the first theyve had all year!
They definitely know what there doing there!

There is a bloke at Engadine who specialises in injectors and pumps. I think he does very little work direct but he did help me enormously a few years ago. The price he charged was very reasonable compared to the other "specialists" that send their pumps and injectors to the real specialists. I understand Turbo Glide may source their stock from this guy too.
