Seeking help to understand the best way to remove and replace my 120 Series headlamp globes.
I have read some stories of globes falling into the headlight housing as they fall out when people are changing them. My preference is that this doesn't happen to me.
A useful tip I have is to remove the batteries so I have more room.
Is it then simply pull off the rubber boot and "all will be revealed"?
TIA
Gordon

I have replaced the bulbs on my 120 series a couple of times now. The high brigtness bulbs don't last that long.
Unplug, then remove the rubber boot. Unhook the clip and then the clip can swing out of the way. The bulb can not fall into the housing, the back part is way to big to fit through .The only tricky bit is making sure you don't touch the bulb glass or get it dirty during fitting.

The bulbs can fall in the headlight assembly on 120 Series Prado's because it's
happened on
mine whilst fitting new bulbs. The clip to hold the bulb in is a pain in the bot bot too.
If they happen to fall in I got
mine out with a telescopic magnet.
Can I suggest to take note how the clip sits in the headlight and replace one bulb at a time, then if you can't work it out you can copy off the other one.
Not much room to get in there with both batteries fitted and very fiddly at best. If your not confident just pull the batteries out to make the job easier.

Thanks for the tips. I'll also
check Pradopoint.
Tomorrow morning I'll discover how easy, or otherwise this is.
