Hi campers, is there any
nelson bay locals that know if you can still
camp on samurai beach,I cant find any official info on the Internet, many years ago you could
camp on the northern end of
the beach and up into the dunes.
Thanks in advance
cheers

Hi edwin, You are aware that Samurai is a nudist beach. Having said that camping is allowed but not fires only gas cooking. you might have to stay on the dunes as
the beach is known to be under water on high tide after storms. If not try one mile beach next door there is a C/P their. Also you might need a permit to drive on
the beach,
check it out with Port Stevens Council.

Yes, Samurai Beach is a clothing optional beach. Sadly, there is a dearth of scantily clad female twenty-somethings! I am told that camping is permitted
No permit is required on Samurai Beach, only for
Stockton. Refer here:
http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/resources/parks/wclBeachDriving.pdf
Permits are $10 for three days and $30 for 12 months.
