Customer Service still alive and well

I recently noticed that my winch bar had a fair bit of movement if you tried to lift it. Asked a mechanic if he could tighten everything up while he was doing a suspension upgrade. Was horrified to learn that the bar had not been installed correctly, there were a couple of bolts missing (no evidence they were ever there) and nearly all other bolts were loose. Called the installing mob in Darwin about getting the job fixed, but as it was over the 12 month warranty period they didn't want to know.
I emailed Ironman to seek their advise and assistance and within a half working day they had phoned, apologised for the situation, and organised their local distributer in Katherine to rectify the issue. A good measure of any company is demonstrated by how they handle problems, and I was very impressed with Ironman's response. The level of service I received by Mike, Gordon and Brian from Tru Trak was exemplary. It is heartening to see that good old customer service can still be found. Unfortunately I'm still waiting for a reply/response from the Darwin firm to my emailed complaint, but advise from others suggest I should not be holding my breath.
As an aside, the suspension upgrade has breathed new life into the ute, the ride is very nice, although the boss is complaining she has to work a little harder to climb in. Hope you all have a great day, mine just got a little better.

G'Day Allan,

Glad it has worked out for you, I recently had some fridge issues (90 ltr 3 way Dometic) that needed sorting while in Darwin, only one bloke in Darwin does that sort of stuff apparently (Pratt) the service I got (or lack of) was unbelievable. I actually thought I was being set up for an episode of one of those "gotcha" type of tv shows
