I have established that my Winegard aerial is not working, I unscrewed the lead into the winegard and screwed it into a rabbits ears antenna to test and am getting some signal, this is the lead that runs through the booster and into the TV, which means it is the Winegard, any suggestions of what it could be and is it fixable if I pull it apart? Do Winegard have tech support or do I have to pay a repair guy, I am on the Gold Coast does anyone know of someone here.
Regards Eric

From my experience, if your Winegard is not working, then everything is normal.

Duuuuuuuuuuuude!

That is just hilarious, however, unfortunately the same can be said for lots of other things that are for sale in the global market.

Luv your work.

There is a booster in the winegard, it needs 12 volt power is there power going to the antenna?

Just an aside, I've had three vans with winegards and they've always worked faultlessly for me!

I agree, we have had a few vans and never had any problems with the Wyngard Aerials.

I would be looking at the Booster Box.

Hi Eric

Only problem I had with ours was when I forgot to push in the little button alongside the cable plug inside the van. Our van has a little green light to show when that is ON (This may be the 'booster' power referred to above?)

Good luck with it - cheers, Phil

Thanks guys, but all ok with booster and power supply, have tested the rabbit ears by turning booster on and off, no signal with booster off, picture with booster on, must be in the winegard itself or the connector on the winegard. Was hoping someone has had a similar problem

Hi Eric

We too had a problem with this. Turned out i had wound it down in the incorrect position and as a consequence crushed the wires. I never actually fixed it as we were in the process of trading it in.

I think the winegard booster is actually up in the antenna, inside the white box.

I have read, not experienced, that others have had similar problems. They were solved by opening the antenna head (takes some patience I believe) and checking the aerial connections - apparently it's possible that the weather can get in and corrode the connection. The fix from there is straight forward. Hope this helps.
