Hi Jeff
A while ago (a long while ago)I had a FJ55 and it had power steering which I removed and fitted to my HJ47, The unit consisted of steering box, pump and pulley. I made the bracket to carry the pump, and put the HJ47 steering box on the FJ55,both fitted like a glove and worked well. It was very simple to do, a bit of mucking around for the pump bracket, but easy enough. The hard part for would locating one, eg from a wrecker or new.
cheers
Colin

Jeff,
The HJ47 missed out on power steering because there was not enough room for the pump which sits low and on the rhs of the 2H motor. The chassis rails are too close!
