Will be traveling the Plenty on Saturday. Has anyone done this trip from Alice to Boulia recently and can advise on road conditions.

Yep, was on it a month ago and it was pretty Ok comparatively speaking. There are a few rough spots here and there, and it is it's usual rocky self. The bulldust around Tobermoray had been compacted and wasn't too much of an issue then. From The Queensland border east, the track is a little narrower but in better condition I thought. A few rats around the Georgina but nothing that should inconvenience you if camping. Firewood is a bit scarce if camping on the Georgina so pick up a bit on the way in.
