Hi, Just wonding if anyone knows if slimline shocker mount plates are available for my truck?
I have a 2009 LC Trayback with an Outback Slide On Camper onboard when we go touring.
I recently fitted a 2" lift using an Ironman kit which included Heavy Duty rear leaf springs to take some of the load off the Polyair bags.
All good so far except the bigger leaf pack has reduced even further the limited clearance at the back end leading to our being hooked up a couple of times on reasonbly small rocks in the track. Deep wheel ruts are something we avoid like the plague!
I seem to remember seeing a WA based company advertise a modified lower shocker mount plate that moved the shocker attachment point higher up beside the spring pack thus eliminating this as a catch point.
Despite searching I cannot seem to find this company ont he web, if anyone can give me a line on someone who does this mod, or any other mods that improve the clearance of the rear of a 79 series i would be most gratefull!
An over axle conversion would be great but I don't want to end up with the rig being too tall (or spend that much on it).Image Could Not Be Found
