Hi,
I was reading the threads the other night and I came across a comment about what to put in the line on the census form about Dependents.
Now that I want it I can't find it!

Can anyone remember where it is ie what thread it appeared in? I did a search for Census but only got one hit in 2011.

Cheers

I just tried to start my census online - login does not work (920 error) - rang the 1300 help number - sorry number does not work - recorded messages there but cannot speak to a person - so I guess because the online system does not work I will have to fill out the form.

Just read the docs we were handed Garry and it states: 'you need a CENSUS FORM NUMBER and an eCensus Number to complete your census form online'

I believe you had the choice of taking the census form to be collected in due course - or you were given the online option - and different paperwork involved - with the required 'numbers' as stated by Tony.

Dunno how you get on if your local census officer called at your place when you are away. It might be stuck in you letterbox or doorway like the SIL found (never home of course).

Might have to perservere with the 1300 338 776 during working hours to get a hearing - states on our sheet it is 8.30am - 8.00pm 7 days a week till 5th Sept. My guess that will be Eastern States time - we don't count over here...

G'luck

Filled mine in from my IPad whilst eating my dinner! I had wondered whether I would be able to complete it in this manner , after reading the FAQ section decided that if once I started it wouldn't work correctly then I could always resort to the hardcopy method. Saved me worrying about getting the form returned before I have to leave to go home to Karratha.

Cheers all,

Sue

I had all the correct stuff and just didn't work - I managed to get onto the help line after a long time and they said they would sms out new numbers within 60 minutes and was told to call back if they were not received - they never arrived within the timeframe and I was not able to get back onto the help desk - the sms numbers just arrived some 25 hours later than they said but I did it on paper. When I could not get onto the Census line I rang the ABS but they could not care less.

I was a senior officer in the public service dealing with external clients and if I offered the level service that this Census group has provided I would have been out of a job.

Very easy online. I used Chrome browser and it filled in parts so easily once relationships were established.

I did mine online without any problems, a week ago. It has been possible to do it since 1st August.
Barring emergencies I well knew where I would be & who would be with me on the night.

Cheers Neil

Hi,
Yes I saw the first one thanks. Replied but there has been some moderation going on.

Funny how you can get some people to spark up with the most banal of comments or even just a little bit of humour.

Some people take themselves and their 'role' on this earth just a little bit too seriously.

Still adds to the humour eh.

Cheers

Bill, no idea why moderated - I might take that up with mods - surely bl**dy isn't considered foul language in these enlightened times

Hi Scott,
I saw your camp on the Mitchell Falls Road. We're planning a trip there soon.
I've read lots about it and it's been said that you have to walk across the top of one of the falls! How close to the edge??
I have a fear of heights since I slid off of a waterfall crossing as an adventurous teenager . Is there must climbing involved?
I have collapsible knees. I know that yo can catch a helicopter but I'd like to try & do the walk at least one way.
Do you have any advise,? I'm not very fit! due to bad circulation?
Take care, safe travels,
Bye for now Ma.

Ma,

The campsite in the photo is just off the Kalumbaru road about 7 k's on the King Edward River

As for the current walk - been about 5 years since I was at Mitchell Falls - the walk doesn't force you close to the edge, the walk itself is flat in most parts, however there's a couple of jump up's - doable I think, however my memory's a little fuzzy on some of the details

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your reply.
It was truly appreciated, I'm a bit nervous about the trip but would love to try it.
The Helicopter is very expensive. I would've thought that that charge would've been per couple.
Take care, safe travels.
Bye for now Ma.
