Howdy - apologies if this is a dumb question. I am about to plumb in an aux fuel tank including a new fill point. I have the filler hose (Nitrile/PVC suction hose - looks like blue silicone) but getting the fittings into it is really tight - I want to use a bit of lubricant to help get them on - I guess a bit of whatever I use could end up in the diesel.
What is a suitable product? Can I just use a bit of vasoline?

Any stuff that's slippery, I think you would not use enough of something to cause an issue.
You could use the worst thing "soapy water" and get away with it.... if you used soapy water you might only use 20ml. and 20ml. (.020Lt.) in a 60lt. plus tank is not going to make any difference but if you used 1lt. that's a different story.
**DISCLAIMER**
And for the 25 people who are going to jump down my throat about even mentioning soapy water, I would not advise to us it, it was used an example. ROLF & LOL :)
