Under 'Sound and Warnings' I have set the volume control to mid range for 'Master' and 'Guidance'. The voice language is set to English (AU). Yet I have noy got a sound out of my unit.
What can I do to get sound directions?

If it is a Garmin, some models have very low volume & at half I doubt if you would hear it.
Have you tried full volume?

Thanks for your interest. I think I have found the solution.
Q. The device is not making any sounds even though the volume levels are all set at high levels.
A. The FM transmitter function has been enabled. This will send all audio to the FM channel as set in the FM transmitter menu.
To disable the FM transmitter do the following:
From the start up menu tap the
Tools icon then FM. If there is a tick and message stating FM function has started, the speaker will be silent tap the tick to disable the FM switch. Sound will now be channelled back through the device speaker.
