G'day Jed
Glenn Herring
Gorge area is nice and green ~ vegitation wise and
the gorge waters are clear although quite weedy in the deeper part of
the gorge ~ beautiful non the less. I was in the area a month or so ago.
The
Marble Bar (
Woodstock road) to the Great Northern Highway is in good condition overall, but very dusty. There were several drilling ~ mining exploration rigs moving between Fortescue Metals camps and back country West of
Marble Bar, plenty of 4wds towing camper trailers too.
The
Shaw River and all other watercourses are quite sandy but relatively easy to navigate.
