i have a 2000 patrol Td42 and i has a miss when cold, i have replaced injectors, glow plugs and fuel filter housing. I have a electrical (element or sensor) in the intake manifold and are interested if that has any thing to do with the miss. Starts like a dream

Maybe the valve clearance needs adjusting. Simple job if you are mechanically minded.

you say it only misses when cold, so how long does it miss before running normally.

hope this helps

Lance
Did the Injector and Glow Plug thing earlier this year.
Started like a dream for about 4-5 months, but noticed it's starting to miss again.
It could be a middle of the winter thing, but more than likely has one or 2 crook clow plugs (rats, so soon too)

MMmmmmmmmmmmmm !

Guess Its back to the double hit glow plug thing again.
The one thing I did notice, very early in the piece, was that I had to wait for a definate clunk (relays dropping out) to come from under the bonnet, near the RHS bonnet hinge, and not just rely on the glow plug indicator light to go out on the dashboars. Probably 5 - 8 seconds later.
No matter how cold it was in the morning, 2 - 3 hits lijke that and she neber even looked like missing.
Cheers
Bucky
