Clint & Chell
We are looking at heading west from
Darwin shortly.
Can we get tv reception in Lake Argyle/
Kununurra?
More importantly will I be able to watch the mighty blues smash the cane toads in State of Origin 3.
If not we may have to stay in
Darwin for a few more days. :)
Clint

BAD NEWS - Sorry, but you will be unable to watch that game here.
GOOD NEWS - But you will be able to watch the Queenslanders absolutely destroy those New South Wales boys in game three!
We have also found out these Western Australians do not care!
Well those in
Kununurra anyway. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Also remember, in WA there is a 2 hour time difference. Kevin

Hi Kevin
You know the reason why WA, NT, SA and Victoria do not care, it is because they play the real Australian sport... Aussie Rules..LOL
I am now waiting for the flack.
Have a great day.
Cheers
Stephen

oh dear!!! what have i started..lol
You have got to love the Aussie banter.
I love both codes so I'm not about to sledge one over the other.
But having been born & bred in NSW it is hard to accept a code where you get a point for missing. :) Hey Stephen.
See you there Kevin...
Carn the Blues!!! Thats NSW, not Carlton Stephen. :)
Cheers Clint

Cross country ballet - the only game in the world where they give you a consultation point if you can't kick straight.

Well!! In that other "Football" game, the one where the ball is thrown rather than kicked...they get points for even TRYing to score..at least in AFL one has to succeed in hitting a target. :-O
Even in Target Shooting, you get a score for coming close. lol

Clint, when you leave
Darwin, why not call in at Mt. Bundy Station, and say G'day to Doug T.
I also have a suspicion that he has satelite TV :~) LOL

Hi Clint & Chell
First off, let me say I can't answer your question.
Secondly, I couldn't see why your post was titled 'VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION, until I read line 3. Now I understand
For your sake, I hope so, but those in the know that have already replied, suggest it is not too likely.
I would imagine live streaming on the web would cost as much as being there, but maybe there is a Maccas or other wifi hot spot? if they allow the download limit?
Go the NSW Blues
Cheers, Dave

Clint & Chell,
Whilst travelling a few years ago, we were faced with the same dilemma to watch a Wallabies game.
We fortunately timed it
well to stay at Fitroy Crossing Resort/Caravan park, where we had a great counter meal , a few cold ones and watched the game in comfort on the big screen. After the game we walked a few hundred metres back to our camper.
Definately need somewhere to watch the mighty Blues take the title this year.
Good luck.
Regards Will

To find out where the TV transmitters are go to this link
http://ozcamps.net/test/tvstations2.html. Type the name of the town in and hit the return key. This produces a Google Map with pins on it. When you hover your cursor over the TV Tower links the little blue pins change to a larger one. Clicking on the link that changes the pin colour you want brings up a box with the co-ords, you can use that with your GPS to see how far away it is.
If you click on the Next-G link it does the same thing for the Neat-G phone towers.
