Morning All
I'm heading up in to central and northern NSW in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knows of
camp sites within the Macquarie Marshes. The only place I have found is Willie station.
Also you can canoe or boat on the marshes
Cheers
Daz

Call National Parks in Dubbo.
One of the Marsh experts (if he is still there) is Bill (I think it is Campbell). He's spent many years in the Marshes

We were up there about three weeks ago. There are no boat trips at the moment.
Willie station is a good spot, a bit agricultural, so the amenities are a bit rough.
There is also a
free camp at Carinda which is at the Northern end of the marshes, great tucker at the pub there.

G'day Daryl
Nothing at all wrong with Willie Retreat. I can recommend it.
Cheers

Hi Daryl
We were up there the first week in May. We stayed at Coonamble and went out daily. Willies Retreat seems to be the only
camping area available. Our contact was Ray Jones the local
ranger at
Quambone. His phone number is 6824 2097. We found him very obliging.
Plenty of water and birds along the road from Sandy
Camp to Willies Retreat if you are interested in bidlife.
Cheers
Max
