Anyone know if 2001 GU Nissan Patrol 6 stud wheels will fit a 1998 Troopcarrier 6 stud vehicle? The Troopie currently runs 15" Maxxis and I want to change to 16" split rims/ 8PR.

The stud pattern is the same, offset differs.

Thanks Shaker. Excuse my ignorance- does that mean it'll fit or it'll bolt on but might scrape or what? Would you fit a rim/ wheel like this if it were your vehicle? Do you think it'll only give 1/2" difference in vehicle height? Might I expect slight improvement in fuel economy? I know there are heaps of variables, of course.

Someone on here will probably know off the top of their head. Otherwise measure the PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) of your stud pattern and look up one of the many mag/steel wheel websites to find out the Patrol PCD. Also check the stud diamter and angle of the chamfer on the Patrol wheels against yours and the offset to make sure the wheels don't scrape on L&R full lock or hang outside your guards (which you can fix with rubber flares up to 75mm are allowed on 4WD's)

blown4by, good points. My Troopie isn't here with me though (I'm away at work) . Saw something that'll run out on ebay soon with few bids:-)

I have a 1990 80 series Landcruiser , a few years back i fitted a set of standard wide rims off a GU to my cruiser. They bolt straight on. Actually Bob Jane told me they wouldn't fit, but i told them to fit them anyway. Ha, and yes no problem. Only thing is, mine is coil springs and Nissan rims are widened inwards.
Troopy is leaf spring ???. But split rims will be ok. Only the wide rims may rub on leaf.
Hope this helped.

Go to the ROH Wheels web site they have a cross reference chart to show what wheels fit what if they show their wheels are the same for both models you could assume they will fit

That would certainly be a valuable tool but I can't find the cross reference chart to which you refer. Any chance of a link?
