Hi Cliffy,

Drive it backwards for 10 to 15 metres, then try the low lever again.

Good luck,

Jerry.

try either or both:

- if he was driving in a circle before this he needs to drive in the opposite direction

or what i do is:

drive in a straight line in reverse at a quick speed if its safe. usually corrects itself but may need to do it a few times.check his prado manual its in there

go to:

www.pradopoint.com

sign up as a member, free and easy to do. then look in the 120 section for an answer or failing finding one ask a new question. they are friendly there just like here, but be aware if you dont search hard enough the mods will let you know and lock your post so you have to look properly.

if you have troubles searching, try google with pradopoint in the search section as well as what you are looking for

Cliffy, thats unusual. If the light is NOT on, that means the centre diff is no longer engaged (the light is independant of the lever mechanism). That suggests it it OK for him to drive it and get his lever mechanism fixed.

Jack a wheel up and it will free up. Barnray
ps there are other tricks that can be used but more experience is required. R
pps there is no checking, using 4wd on hard surface will create the problem all the time.r
