ute storage - how long ?

hi everyone.
puting colorado 3.0 litre turbo diesel in storage in
townsville for 6 weeks, while i fly to
canberra.
is there anything i should be aware of ? leaving the vehicle for 6 weeks i'm assuming it will start ok on my return.
I will bring a
battery power pack with me just in case
any thoughts ?

I would not do anything except fill it up with fuel to prevent condensation then just lock it up & park it.
I regularly leave my Hilux in the garage full of fuel for 2 months at a time & just turn the key & drive it out no problem.

If you are not sure about the condition of your battery why not disconnect one of the terminals until you come back. Some newer vehicles do seem to flatten batteries sooner than the older ones if not kept on charge.

Put max tyre pressure in your tyres, nothing worse than flat spots when driving.
