There seems to be a lot of P7's on ebay all varying in price, how can I tell the difference between the real thing against a cheap copy?
BTW, I want the real thing
Thanks

Looking at them it is very hard, even people in the know have issue identifying originals and fakes.
There are many who have bought a so called genuine product from Ebay and they don't even know it a fake.
Have heard of people who have had many good years out of a product bought on Ebay only to have it eventually fail, when they have gone to buy a genuine replacement part and the part didn't fit was when they found out it was a copy.
Pay a bit more and by from an Australian AUTHORISED reseller.
It may pay not to buy of Ebay.
On Ebay there are many overseas sellers who pose as Australian based and there are the Australian based sellers who direct deliver from overseas.
You have been warned.

Would have no hesitation in buying a Lenser off Ebay.Bought my P14 about 18 months ago for $105 and have had absolutely no problems with a lot of use. They are brilliant torches and you should be able to get the P7 for about $85.

I brought my first P7 from a authorised dealer.
Have gotten 2 off Ebay from Hong Kong since then and there is no way i can tell the difference. I have examined them up close, compared every feature of them right down to the text on the batteries and the stitching on the lanyard.
The batteries have lasted for ages, same as the first one, they are exactly the same brightness and they all feel exactly the same to hold and to operate.
Oh and they are exactly the same weight also.
Oh and i got the second 2 for the same price i paid for 1 in Oz.
Me thinks, that they are Genuine. And even if they arent, they are of the exact same quality anyway. Maybe better.
I wont hesitate to buy from Hong Kong again.

Do people still buy torches that you have to hold with one hand, how quaint.
Do yourselves a favour and get a good headlamp, stop wasting big money on the so called "best".
I've been buying these
Headlamp and at less than $10 inc postage they are very good value. Chuck a beam a hundred yards without any worries, then adjust to have a very
bright spread beam for around the campfire, under the dash etc. We've had them for over 12 months now and with a couple hours use every night the batteries (3AAA) last a couple of months.
Everyone that sees them wants to know where Igot them and then buy there own.
The seller is good to deal with ships promptly and I have no association except a satisfied customer.

Excellent products here,
4Sevens, should you want to avoid Ebay (don't think they handle Lenser though).
If you thought a torch/flashlight was simply something to shed light on darkness, or to amuse the kids when camping, have a look here:
Candlepower
Hard to believe that people take their lights so seriously, but if you want to know anything and everything about the not-so-humble world of 'hand-held illumination and personal safety devices' there's an enormous amount of useful info on that site.

Had my P7 delivered yesterday....from Hong Kong. Although it took about 3 weeks to get here, I only paid $36 for it...including postage. Every bit as
bright as my original that I bought in Australia for 3 times that amount...in fact, I'm sure it is an original. I don't know whether it's the retailers or the government but someones making an awful lot out of the suckers that want to do the right thing and "buy local".....just because it's cheap and from overseas, doesn't mean they are all copies............
