Have been offered a set of Alloy GU wheels and Tyres in good condition and wonder if they will fit my 97 series 80 Landcruiser. I know the stud pattern is the same but what about the offset. Any one fitted Nissan Wheels to a Tojo ?

look at the thread on 200 series tyres and go to the link I provided.

You can play with sizes and offsets on that.

Thanks Snoopyone I did that and the size is right but I'm not sure whether the rim will fit over the calipers. I guess I will have to go over to Eltham and pull a wheel off and measure them.

There is a small difference in offset so the GU wheels will sit in by about 1/2 inch each side when fitted to an 80series. So the track will be about an inch less. Not sure whether the tyres will touch the chassis on full lock as a result. Also not sure whether the wheel well will hit the calipers.
The centre hole is a touch bigger on GU wheels, so you won't get that tight fit on the hub that you'll get from the Toyota wheels.
Lastly, just make sure the wheel nuts are compatible.

You really need to fit them up to see.

Now we can have a thread about Toyota wheels falling off.LOL.

Just be aware that there is something about Nissan wheel, hub or nut design that makes them very susceptible to loosening and falling off.

Phillip I hope you are not suggesting that Toyotas don't lose the occasional wheel!!!!

Thanks for the replies and you have convinced me to leave the Nissan wheels on the Nissan.

Cheers
