I have both TrackRanger and OziExplorer but in the last few years have tended to use TrackRanger as I find it more friendly to my requirements.
Yesterday I had a look at the TrackRanger URLto see what is new and saw the two training videos. What beauties. I followed the video on
how to plan a trip using Google Maps and was able to plan my next trip in a few minutes.
A great tool. Good to see that they are improving the content of their product regularly.
PS. I have no affiliation with TrackRanger.

Trackranger is easier to use because Trackranger is lacking 80% features compared to OziExplorer. You can plan a trip in OziExplorer in a few minutes it is so easy.

Can you post up some of the missing 80% of features please...just wondering what I might be missing out on.
NB: I mean this in all seriousness, as I for one would like to see a definitive list of differences in the two as they currently stand.

Hi
To clarify, the "tool" is actually an independent application that can be used with any gps mapping program that accepts GPX format files....though Trackranger have simplified the process slightly by removing the last couple of steps (ie the cut and paste into a text file and save as gpx).
Details on GMaptoGPX can be found
Convert Google Maps Data to GPX
Cheers
