Hello All
I have been researching all types of motorized van movers. My question is related to the powertouch type caravan movers.
I was speaking to my local Jayco parts and servicing agent about van movers. and he warned me about the permanently fitted van movers, that there was a possibility of damaging and or having the unit torn off when crossing speed humps etc.
Are there any members out there with any experience and or information with this possible problem?
Would seem a bit strange as the unit is fitted to the axial and would move up and down with the wheel.

not sure about this brand. but do they have a motor fitted behind each wheel/tyre? if so i believe it has been a potential problem for some however it would be better to get in touch with their tech division or ask for a specification sheet on how/where it is fitted and then make a judgement call on it. cheers....

Hi Peter, They are not fitted to the axle. They have their own tube which runs the full width of the van.The motors are attached to the square tube and hung off the chassis.
The power mover units I have seen have been mounted too low. Probable causes are water tanks etc.
From what I have seen they want a quick install and its goodbye.
I bought in from the UK a pare of Truma units and installed them myself; but it is not recommended for those in doubt. All the best with it.
