Darling River Run Feedback

Hi all, planning on doing the DRR starting in Bourke probably the day after Anzac Day. Reading the road updates, they're saying "Closed" as @ 10/4/11. Any updates that people are aware of ?
Cheers

Hey Scott,
Try the Bourke Shire Council site, here Bourke Shire road conditions.. Not sure what light traffic is though.

Thanks Geoff, roads are showing open atm.

Light Traffic - lets hope my GU Cab Chassis & camper come under that classification.

As crazy as it sounds, the water that smashed Toowomba has only just cleared Tilpa in the last week or so and the roads are slowly being reopened.
We did have some rain over the weekend but not enough to close the roads.
The "Light" traffic is an ongoing debate however four wheel drives are certainly in that category and a road train fits into "Heavy". What falls in the middle is anyones guess.
Take some emergency supplies (rations). If you do get stuck down there in the mud, its common practice that you wait until it dries before you drive out yourself, no one will be coming to get you out.

Cheers Tim, watching the weather across the course of this week and will collect a road report prior to leaving the Ridge.

Thanks Gents, greatly appreciated.

Scott
Just a quick update,
I heard on the radio yesterday that Louth to Tilpa on the West side is closed currently however the east side is still open.

Roma (QLD) is flooding again however that water won't be here for another 10 days, maybe 2 weeks yet.

There hasn't been any rain in Bourke for the last few days so it looks like it will be ok.

Awesome, thanks Tim.
Yestersday update on the Bourke Shire Council web site actually showed the west side as being open as well, however it is all looking good regardless.

Appreciate your follow up
