Not so grey nomads
We have a Thetford cassette
toilet which has a empty/full level indicator inside the van. It is a domed red/green indicator which I believe is operated by a float and magnet. It is not working. The indicator is able to move, the mechanism attached moves - leadinmg me to think the float is the problem. Being a sealed unit, is this repairable? Thanks for any advice. Anthony

Why bother?
Mine has one and I couldn't tell you if it worked or not, never looked at it. It starts to smell a bit
well before it is full.
I just know that after 3 - 4 days I need to think about emptying it, if I don't find a dump (I refuse to bury it) for a few more days I am not concerned.
Unless you have one that a couple piddles & a poo fills it then don't worry, work it similar to that.
Cheers Neil

G'day Anthony
Just did a quick google, found there is the Thetford website, with repair manuals, troubleshooting tips, and maintenance instructions.
Thetford link
I had a look for your problem, found a few enquiries on other forums, but it required a model number to assist.
Hope this helps, Dave

Yours may be the same as
mine. It doesn't move until the last bit then goes from empty to full very quickly.
