You need to contact Kondaparinga Stn - which is on the East Hodgkinson R - between Mt Mulligan and the Mitchell.

Duano - try some of the phone numbers on this site

Don't be suprised if some of the numbers on outdated signs don't work.

Duano try 07 40924908.
It should be OK it is a Gazetted road, its just a courtesy thing. When you get through you will come to Cooktown Crossing. The last gate through Kondaparinga takes you on Brooklyn Station but the gates wont be locked where you need to go. If you come on a locked gate you have gone the wrong way.

Hi Duano, There is a good camping spot at Cooktown Crossing on the Mitchell. You travel past Mt Carbine and turn off to the left at the bottom of the dezailies Range to Hurricane Station then turn left at Kodaparinga station turn off, across the causeway and turn right and your there. Take a couple of pots and fishing lines. Good camping.

I was there today - the causeway has at least a metre of water over it - can't see the causeway at all, and flowing FAST! Water was filthy too.

Mud, small flies, and spear grass over a metre high - not real nice for camping at the moment I'm afraid.

Even the area upstream from the McLeod River bridge was awash - and dirty.
