I will be going to the
Mitta Mitta / Eskdale Snowy Creek area in a few weeks for fishing. Any suggestions for good isolated camping spots on a river, 4wd access is ok.
TIA

Try Kelly's flat which is actually private property access via the
Omeo valley Hwy just follow the road which becomes Kelly's Road or if you want a really nice spot Ferny Flat which is past a closed
gate (Not locked) access allowed into the start of the National Park. The map I used is Hema, East Gippsland & the Saphire Coast. Ferny Flat is actually NOT marked as Nat.Park but local
Ranger seems to think it is. The camping on Kelly's Road is definately PRIVATE property however everyone camps there.

Thanks Orejap, can you please give me a bit more of a reference as to where Kelly's flat and Rd and where Ferney Flat are. I have the Hema map you refer to but can't find any of those. Can you please give me an indication of distance from a town or main rd.
thanks

Got Kellys rd and flat thanks. Still looking for Ferny flat but I think i have been there from the description. River is to the right and quite wide when headed north yeah? Grassy paddocks with cattle to the left.
