SA Outback road report as of today 19/3/11

Not much at all is open in SA outback, check it out, if you are intending to travel beyond the Finders Ranges area.

This I hope will change soon, as I for one, wanted to travel much of the effected areas early next month.

Well Colin i think you better invest in some good muddies. LOL

Just watching the weather this morning
Oodnadatta just had 9 moths of there average rain fall in 2 days.
That will make it interesting on the road!

Michael,
WINTER is no good to me, I am going this week for 3 months, if I can cross the Darling River that is, & Menindee look like going under this week.

Great!!!!! plan a big trip for 18 months and watch the weather stuff it up at last minute. LOL

Pity if we have to stay on the black top all the way, as the NT is just as bad re closed roads, but then they have the wet season to contend with as a seasonal event, I understood that.

BUGGER

Cheers Colin.

Colin i hope it gets better, It really has been unpredictable for at least 15 months now, its not what we were used to in the previous decade.. Hope you and Renata enjoy your trip, i'm envious!!! Michael

Colin,

Good luck.
We will be following after Easter and have our fingers crossed.
There are some pretty big deviations in our plans B&C for each of 5 legs to the Kimberley.
