I had an incident once with a gas aerosol can ( on a mini bbq) - now we never use gas when camping -- fire with wood or charcoal -- No gas .. just not worth the risk

Hi Kev,
No need to apologise for the post, it was something that we were not aware of .............. and in light of recent disasters in Australia, posts like yours are the ONLY way that people on both sides of Australia .... actually know what IS going on.
However, I would question the reasoning behind the comment .................
" now we never use gas when camping -- fire with wood or charcoal -- No gas .. just not worth the risk "
Sorry to say this ............
TOTAL fire bans in Australia during summer ........... are just that ................. TOTAL ......... and we do live in Armadale WA .............
an area of recent fire devastation.
I would also ask if there should be greater care taken with a
camp fire??
.............. and at this time of year??
............. and also the topic of a fairly recent thread on the
forum.
We do hope that all recover from their injuries and we're off the soapbox.
Cheers,
Wayne & Sally.

Yeah, poor buggers. I feel for them all, but especially for the little guy... 6 years old, he would be in so much pain.
Nothing wrong with gas in your rig.... just make double sure all your cylinders, hoses connections etc are all in proper working order all the time.
It's not hard to do.
Cheers
Brian
