May be of interest to some.
Check here in order to help you find that elusive dunny. May even be able to get GPS cordinates to get you there faster :~)
National Public Toilet Map
Let's hope the thing is still there, or not locked, like most council
toilet blocks are, when you need them most :~(

This was in fact Amanda Vanstone's crowning glory. I
well remember her announcing its existence with the enthusiasm of one who had just located the Titanic. Fortunately, she was not wearing one of Tony Abbotts famous sheet eating grins.

Jack, very appropriate that a polotician will always be remembered in the annals of history for this.......We'll dedicate each opportunity to use one to her LOL LOL

I was going to comment on putting Amanda Vanstone and Titanic in the same sentence but then realised I would have to put 20 cents into our Negative Comment Piggybank!!!

I think you will find that it was Bronwyn Bishop when she was Minister for Aging.

Hi Kevin:
I will stick to my guns and say Amanda Vanstone. I have contacted the Officer in Charge of
Public Toilet Mapping and asked him/her to let me know who it was. I shall let you know when they come back to me.
Cheers

Bishop launches map
This was a very important initiative, but I saw many comments years ago that some of the original data was inaccurate or out-of-date, and no 'quality' assessment of the facilities was included. Hopefully the new incarnation has improved greatly.

Thank you for that Bazooka, and apologies to Kevin S. I had Vanstone etched into my mind on that one. Time to re-etch.
Cheers

No hard feelings, Jack and thank you Bazooka. I'm sure that we havce added to the store of trivia in this
forum by our brief discussion. And I'm trying to work out what it is like to have Amanda Vanstone etched on your mind. You must have a large mind.

Yes, I think it gives new meaning to the phrase "heavy is the head that wears the crown'.

Mazcan, Jack tells us Amanda Vanstone instigated this idea, so if we're relying on a polly ?????? who knows?
Might be too much "paper work" involved :~)))

I think if you contact them via email they will update the site. You never know when I might be in Bunbury and in search of a loo. If you do this, you could earn my undying and eternal gratitude.
