Hi Guys,
Thanks for your assistance with my earlier questions. I am looking at a
suspension upgrade for the 3L TD Prado. Want to raise it by about 50mm also thinking King springs and Koni shocks but am open to suggestions.
What do you think and importantly how much does a decent set up cost. I have no idea what to expect to pay.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Stephen

There are quite a few different types of
suspension upgrades for Prados, Stephen.
All have their own supporters - pretty much like everything else to do with the noble art of upgrading a 4WD:-)
I have a Ridepro/Bilstein setup, with a pair of Polyairs in the rear coils. Cost about $2k, from memory.
Have a look at Pradopoint.com if you want a robust discussion about all things related to Prado
suspension setups -

Have Old Man Emu all around on my 120 series Prado now for about 3 years.
went across
Simpson Desert last year and did not miss a beat 2" lift raised it 3 1/2" from the saggy genuine.
Handles sand and rocky tracks and the extra wheel travel allows for more tyre on the ground more often.
Sorry that I cannot compare to other systems but extremely satisfied with this set up.
