The Chinchilla Melon Festival is getting closer.

I have had reports that only 4 EOer's have booked in to camp at the Showgrounds. If you wish to camp at the Showgrounds please book as soon as possible as space is quickly filling. Contact details for the Chinchilla Showgrounds are in the Gathering details.

For those in town Thursday night Breakfast is on at the School and a previous EO user is there ...................................................................................

I have seen your head Dave and it isn't pretty ;)

The Melons are majority Chinchilla grown (over 15t worth) and the imported WA ones are the ones being used for the rotten melon throwing comp hehehe

Shall I reserve you a camp spot ;)

Cheers Kev

Kev, on behalf of all the members who would love to come, but cannot, for various reasons, I just want to wish you people up there, all the very best, and hope you have a sensational festival after your very trying Xmas and New Year. We have all watched and been totally amazed by the resillience of not just Chinchilla, but all of you Qlders.

Just remember, though, this sympathy stops in May when the Blues come for a visit LOL LOL.

I am sure this event will unite your amazing community even further.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the occasion.

Cheers mate.

Fred,

Ifwe were located in NSW then the whole show would have been cancelled and never thought of again ........................... a bit like the NSW RL team ;)

But like true QLDers we strive on having the Best and the Melon Festival will yet again win awards for the BEST regional event held in 2011.

I haven't told him yet but Michael is nominated in the Open Bull Ride at the Rodeo Friday night hehehehehe The only issue I had in Nominating him was getting his surname spelt correctly hehehe

Roll on the Festivities and yet another year of the MAROONS winning the State of Origi in the footy ;)

Cheers Kev

I would like to second your comments Fred, it is a worthy cause in tuff times & you are right about the Qlders toughness & resilience. Community spirit is a wonderful thing & this event will help cement it further. But as you said, come May, they can go jump just like their blasted Cane Toads.

Tour Boy, Very well said!! LOL

Hi Kev.
Just watched Queensland Weekender on channel 7& they did a feature on the melon festival.

You are going to be a very busy boy by the time channel 7 finish with you LOL.

Hope you have a great time.
Cheers.
