good morning australia
bianca has now shifted it's path of approach and is heading for rockingham /safety bay area
i think it will finish up turning further and hitting even closer to
perth after originally expected to hit at dawesville then mandurah and now rrrrockingpig and not-safe bay??
we only have scattered clouds and low wind here in bunbury at 3.57am and i dont at this stage see any major problems occuring here and its not raining either
so i'm going back to sleep /see ya later wet potato !
cheers

Sounds like time for all the vanners on the coast to head for the gold fields.

Hi gang
Been there there last outing - too hot then and even worse now, so we have the van lined up on driveway 1 and going nowhere - just staring blankly into the laptop at one of many of the 'BOM' sites - or getting updates on here.
The national radar shows the general pattern swinging closer to the coast, so there is no doubt we will get our feet wet wherever we head - south west or due south.
Neither the
Perth airport nor Serpentine radars are 'available' at the moment = amazing at a time like this - just amazing.
Just going to have to sit around a bit longer.
Further updates are appreciated.
Cheers all - Phil

G'day all
It is good to learn that "Bianca" might be a whole lot less of an event than what was predicted, the only real thing to keep in mind is that a mobile tropical low is unpredictable and it could
well retrace its path and do it all again.
The inland
Pilbara had little effect from Bianca apart from a couple of very cloudy days and some light rain ~ BUT ~
Newman got absolutely belted by a violent storm, very early (0215am) Saturday. Come day light the evidence was quite impressive, megga dollars of damage to roofs on some houses in the town, lots of trees bought down onto houses, fences, shade sails, trampolines etc, etc all decidedly second hand and destined for the tip.
Not heard if there were any casualties ~ hopefully every one escaped unscathed.
Not sure if the storm was one of Bianca's children, but it sure was an angry bugger and it dumped 25mil of rain into my rain gauge (
unofficial of course)
Stay safe.

Well at 8.33 in Qld that would be 6:33 in WA the 512 k Radar shows nothing over there?
Not even any rain for you. Compare this with the Cat 1 off
Townsville & the Rain with that.
Looks like
Perth will miss out on the rain again and the wind may be no more than a good old
Fremantle Doctor :-)
Cheers Tony

hi all
the cyclone warning has been cancelled 6.10am and no further bulletins will be issued the low is now expected to cross the coast just north of
perth as was my thoughts /prediiction at 3.57am
its proved to be nothing like alby and bianca had a mind of its own and no where near the endurance/intensity of alby that came all the way south
although it overcast here in bunbury 7.am it's not raining just the old camel spit every now and then
i guess it's a big relief to a lot of concerned people
perth temp has also been down graded from 36 to 34deg for today but it'll be humid
cheers and have a good one

They've got it heading straight for
Perth now, but from a Cat 1 to a low before it reaches the coast. No worse than a normal
Perth winter storm; just at the wrong time of the year.

all the moisture has been stipped off to the south now, nothing at all in it for
Perth, no storm, no rain. might kick off some good inland storms tonight around
york to merredin though.
