G'day Bill

Might be easier if people use

This Link , if it works.....

I am not a generator user, but interesting concept.

Reading their blurb I'm worried.

You could be led to believe from the advertising that these LPG fuelled generators are safe as far as CO emissions go.

DO NOT BELIEVE IT

The exhaust from an LPG fuelled engine contains similar CO emissions to petrol fuelled engines. It just smells nicer while it kills you!

Early symptoms of CO (carbon monoxide) poisoning are headaches, nausea, and dizziness. If you experience any of these symptoms whilst in a tent, camper trailer or caravan increase the ventilation and move the generator, stove or gas heater further away (I sincerely hope that none of these items are in your camper).

And

as far as LPG being safer than petrol???

Same as the makers of Cobb Cookers say they "Can be used ANYWHERE"

They will kiill you just as effectively as a car exhaust if used in a poorly ventilated area.

To say these generatiors alleviate the need to carry inflammable fuel is a bit of

a contradiction as most fuels are inflammable or wont work.

LPG conversions for generators has been around for years. 15years ago my fatherinlaw ran his house of a 5Kva generator off LPG, 100Lb cylinder lasted about 1 week & back then gas was a lot cheaper than now. Lot easier to cart petrol than LPG.

Think your'e being a bit tough on them fella's. Did not see that they were saying that they were without any CO or emissions risk. And it is true that a LPG fuelled engine produces only about 60% CO emission of an equivalent petrol engine or 50% of a diesel engine.

I would be pretty sure that the operating instructions would include safety expressions about exhaust emissions.

Cheers
