Well we got out the 4D battery camping light before christmas and the batteries had corroded.

I went to a camping store and looked at all the $100 options, then decided to check out Big W.

Picked up the Energise 4D light because I have aq 3yr old that sometimes wants a light on all night and it advertisded it came with a "night light" that would run for 1.5 months non-stop. That's some claim. It also flipped up soand with a mirror underneath the flip up it could serve as a vanity mirror for the wife.

So bought it, worried about the battery consumption because my 5yr old name brand flouro used just under 1amphour per hour.

So in went the Homebrand batteries and 8 nights later it is still going strong. And because of the rain we spent many nights inside the tent should reading until we were so bored we went to sleep.

So for, I think, a $24.95 light that went 8 nights and still going on 4 homebrand batteries is pretty damn impressive.

I could not find any onl-line sellers so this is what it looks like:

Sorry about that, hit "submit" instead of "Insert image", and I would have spell checked too if I'd hit the right button before submitting.

And it was the Green Energiser brand, with handle and low watt single LED night light, and two more positions for bright and brighter.

Thanks for the product feedback Porl - always handy to get this type of review prior to shelling out the 'hard earned'.

Lighting plays a big part in our travels and the choices are unlimited, as are the price ranges and most of us always regard the cheaper range products as a bit 'suss', so it is comforting to come across a purchase you feel happy about.

Hope you continue to get great service from the unit.

Cheers - Phil

One would've though being the "Energizer" brand would put it into the reliable category, as oppossed to the bit 'suss' category???
