I have an Engel 12/240Volt refrigerator, Model SRT-568AF-T-A4 (in a 1982 VW Transporter, Trakka conversion).
About 12 years ago I had to replace the Model STR5412S inverter/oscillator with a new one. This solved the then problem.
I have had more trouble with the fridge - it runs ok on 240V, but not on 12 volts. I still have both the old oscillator and the newer one. The new one appears to be OK, tested at the individual component level, but the fridge doesn't run on 12V.
Does any one have a wiring diagram for this fridge that they could provide please? The fridge is is sufficiently old (about 28 years) that it is unlikely to have any proprietary information in the circuit.
I look forward to anything anyone can contribute.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
The same oscillator module was used in several models of Engel.
The very early Engels used germanium transistors (these had the black inverter housing) and it would be impossible to get these transistors now. Later versions (1980's on) used
Darlington silicon transistors.
I've got several circuits for old models
