Happy New Year to everyone
I plan on taking the Van to
Tumby Bay and was wondering if anyone knows if the Ferry from
Wallaroo to
Lucky Bay is running. When I go to the web site it states that it is suspended till mid 2010 how ever I can not find any times or cost if it is now up and running.

It was very much closed down at the
Lucky Bay end when we were there back in late October.

Hi Vern,
If you do go on it, take some sea sick bags. Sorry to spoil your trip but I've heard that it can be very rough at times. One bloke we know round here will never live his trip across on it down! Poor Man!
Take care, safe travels
Bye Ma.

thanks for the tip. I wont be to bad but if it is going to be a rough trip the handbrake would prefer to go all the way by road.

As I understand it they have a new vessel on order??? they sold the old ferry before the new one arrived and as yet still not arrived I am told. Something sounds little fishy in the whole deal actually.

Most certainly is not running, and I would not be holding my breath waiting for the new one. Being built in Indonesia and is 6 months late at least. News paper reports have not sounded promising, more like spin.
