Hello.

I have a 2000 model GU 2 patrol st wagon.

Up until now the central locking has been working fine but the last 3 days i havnt used it but when i went to unlock it today to get something out of it it worked and unlocked fine but when i went to relock it with the remote it doesnt lock.

So i check it a few time,s and it does lock when i press the unlock button but it does not lock with the remote at all.

Does anyone have any answer please.

Also when i try to reset the 2 remotes i have when i pull the key in and out 6 times quickly with the doors lock the hazard lights on the dash dont flash like they say they should.

Can someone shed some light on this please.

It's a common problem with GUs check here www.patrol4x4.com. Mine has to be locked with the key but can be unlocked with the romote.

Dave
My remote sits on a ledge in the shed.
I can't be bothered fiddling with it any more.
One day I will lash out, but @ $150 it can wait.

Cheres

Hi,

At 11 years old I guess you have changed the battery in the remote control?

hi reddeer
have you tryed changing the batterys and when doing al as your remote is an aged one
clean the internal contacts with metho and cotton bud stick or polish them if tarnished or corroded test the batterys you put in make sure they in good conditon make sure they are above required voltageusually 3v
dont presume that because you just bought them that they are the full quid
i have been caught out with on the shelf flat ones only just 3v or under
i have found with my vehicle it takes more battery power to lock it
than it does to unlock it
cheers
