I am looking for a power upgrade to my old faithful 1HZ 80 Series and want to explore all possibilities.
I think the V8 Chev diesel is on back burner (again) as I've since heard about the 1HD-FTE from late model 100 series being fitted. Does anyone know of or have heard of this being done please?
I like this option in comparison to 1HD-FT due to the ability to upgrade exhaust/intercooler and chip to give in excess of 200Kw's/600Nm but some say it is too hard due to wiring harness complications. This is quite possibly true hence the further investigation
I have heard of and spoken to a bloke in Qld (Steve from Killa Kustom Kables) and he's quite confident he has the goods to complete the wiring although it was a brief conversation that we will resume again later.

I am not interested in an aftermaret turbo for my 1HZ (AT ALL) as I would still be chasing more grunt afterwards and it's not necessarily a case of $$$ either, although I must say 6.5 V8 Chev option was a tad unrealistic for end product (looking at about $26K, no blower or turbo)

Does anyone have any information/advice for me please?
