Hi,
It is very busy at the moment. There was just a single unpowered site this afternoon left within the town C/P's.
Roebuck Roadhouse caravan park has sites and allows dogs. But is 32kms out of town.

There is no caravan park in
Broome that accepts dogs.
About 20 or 30 ks out near the Great Northern Highway a couple do.

The Pistol Club accepts dogs. It is not a caravan park, in terms of Big 4 etc but opens during the holiday / peak season. We were there last week and you can get in but, yes it is busy.
Short note however, you might hear gunfire, not often but it can be day and night (upto 9pm).

I just stayed at the
Parking bays. But in
Broome Council area that dont allow overnight camping, even if you sleep in your car!, anywhere in the council area. Had the
Ranger come by one morning to tell me off. You can stay about 25 km out of
Broome back towards Roebuck as
Broome council area ends at about that point. Alternatively travel down the
Cape Leveque road to somewhere remote.

I have often wondered if a
ranger came by and told you to move on , and you replied you were too tired (or drunk ) to drive , and asked for his identification (for a later court case) what would be the outcome ?

Yes that is an interesting point of view, I have heard people say they have used that with the cops as
well and that if done correctly can work in your favour. When travelling on a shoe string many years ago we used to park our Hiace near beaches etc, actually parked down near Cable as there were
toilets and cold showers, not to mention the c/parks were disgusting at that time. Wouldn't bother now but if had to the trick is
camp late and leave early. Can just about guarantee that you won't see a counsel worker if you leave by 5 am.

I would completely by-pass
Broome. It is a rip off town. The best view is in your rear view mirror.

Hi there, Im sitting under my awning in broom at this very moment and I am looking at a few dogs lazing around so I would imagin it is ok to have them here ,we are at the Pistle club,un powerd sites are about $12 per person and kids under 12 are free ,you can try calling them for more info as I dont want to lead you a stray ... Mind the punt LOL!
I would not bypass broom if you have never been here as I was told the same and Im glad I didnt listen but yes things can be expensive here LIke refilling your gas bottle Kleen gas said $44 for an 8.5kg but there is a little cheaper like the local
home hard ware if he has it? or BP this place is very nice IMHO and at least I have seen it if you drop into the info centre they have a board with all the parks and what is available ,the otherone is the PCYC and even the seventh day eventist ,so try and ring ahead ,I also saw a few motor homes and vanners checking out a
gravel pit just after the roebuck road house on the right on the way into Broom ??
good luck and most of all ENJOY!!!
