Has anyone seen versions of the stone guard shown at the URL below or have experience with using it or know where you can get one. Seems like a pretty good option, except a little concerned about the vehicle hitting it when turning

Those are bungee cords, and quite flexible.
As for where you get it, I'd suggest you have a look at the yahoo campertrailers group, perhaps someone there will know.

That is my old stone guard between my old Track Eagle camper & Nissan Terrano 2.
I made it with the help of a friend that has a canvas repair & manufacturing business.

Hi Willharry
I found that photo last year and decided that it looks good. Went to a few canvas
places and got quotes. I got it made for $200, I supplied was the steal bar that attaches to the tow bar and 2 rubber mats (that had small holds) that I hung off that bar. You have to make sure that you don't block the exhaust area. It work a treat, I was concerned that when you turn it would not return to its correct position. But it was great. If you want I can hunt up a couple of photos.
Regards
