Guys, just joined the board.
I need a little info about the Delica vans available - are these imported? if so, does this mean parts/labour etc will be a lot more than non imported vehicles?
I am currently in the market for a 4wd, we saw a delica the other day and thought it would be an awesome option, especially for long trips/weekends away etc.
But am also leaning towards the usual Toyota 4runner.
Also, as I am new to the 4wd world (don't even own one yet) I really need to know more about whether to buy a Deisel or Petrol engine - pros and cons of each? Any personal experiences?

Thanks!
Considering this, if a lot of people came out and said DON'T BUY DEISEL, then of course I would give the delica the swerve.

AL.
The Delica is the same as the pajero or triton mechanicaly and the body is the same as the walkthru van avialable in aus as 2wd, so parts should not be a problem except for some small items of trim. Eric.

What about this issue of insurance. What is the reason insurance companies steer clear of these imported cars - how much would one expect to pay annually for insurance?
Thanks for the help guys!!
