Alloy welding Darwin, Help Please

Hi All
Yes I’m really thrashing the forum today! I need to get a bracket welded on to the front of my Quintrex Hornet to hold our Min Kotta Electric Motor, can anyone recommend someone in Darwin that can do this, is reliable and doesn’t cost the earth! I had one welded on to our roof topper in Adelaide at a cost of $150, I spoke to a guy on the phone here that said $400 to $500 which I think is a bit steep!
Any suggestions?

Hi Lyndon,
Sorry, haven't had any alloy welded for many years so cannot recommend anyone, but, have you tried page 361 of the yellow pages in the darwin directory, marine engineers? Other than that try welding on page 619, 620.

No mate, I am a Boilermaker/Welder, so I do my own, but I know him and his standard of work so can can recommend him without hesitation.

That bloke is a thief no more no less.

He tried to charge me twice as much as falcon engineering, these bloke don't mind charging you top dollar either, but there work is good.
